Lede Astray: Herald on Co-op Annual Meeting

"Co-op Launches Board Search"

That was the headline for the Herald's article on the Co-op's Annual Meeting on Sunday.  The first paragraph helps explain what that means:

Even as the Hyde PArk Cooperative Society's Board of Directors announced that it is in its worst financial sate in its history, a drive to fill five seats on the board during its spring election is underway.

Sure, that's accurate.  But, man, that was probably the seventh most important thing to come out of Annual Meeting.  The best lede must have been buried at sea.  Granted, the everGreen, the Co-op's house organ, is the right place to explain things in details...

I'd ask for my 50 cents back, but I always read the Herald online.
