My one remaining grandmother died on Tuesday. There's an obituary here.
I believe I will be a pallbearer, which is a first time honor for me.

She was married not 3 miles from where I'm sitting! And I went to high school with a couple of Funks - Joe and his older brother. Small world.

Her husband was in the Navy during World War II and she lived in the Edgewater neighborhood for a year or so. She told me she could remember catching the Howard Street Station train.
The obituary photo manages to capture her warmth pretty well.
